The goal in my approach is to capture the raw, tender magic of a life in transition — the chaos and beauty of a brand new chapter. It’s about more than just posed portraits; it’s about preserving the deeply connective experience of pregnancy, the transformation of the body, and the quiet moments of anticipation. Through every curve, every stretch, every sleepy yawn and newborn cry, there’s a story unfolding — one filled with love, vulnerability, and the thrilling mystery of the unknown.

1. In-Home Maternity Portraits

A maternity portrait session at home offers a more intimate document of you, your body, and your story. It’s the place you feel most confident and comfortable.

Having a session at home allows for portraits to feature the spaces in your home that ground you, and the place you may even feel like you want to bare it all to stake claim on the empowering the transformative journey that is pregnancy. These sessions can be done independently, or with your partner/children.

2. Outdoor Maternity Portraits

Outside is your happy place, the place where you feel most at home. The places and spaces that will be the playground for your soon to be little one.

Revelstoke is home to a million and one incredibly breathtaking places. Choose the one you hold dear, or inquire for some local recommendations – I’ve got more than a few.

3. In-Home Newborn Session

A session at-home, in your own personal space. The place you’re growing accustom to the ebb and flow of life with your new baby. These sessions, and the duration, are always dictated by your wee one. It’s to be a document of this new chapter and the connection and daily flow of life as a family.

Intimate environmental portraits, feeding, details of their little features that will change so quickly. An inside look of your life as it is now – the quiet chaos and intense love that’s growing.

Maternity sessions have a little more structure, with a strong highlight on the incredible changes your body has experienced. Paying homage to the incredible things our body can do and how beautiful the change really is.

Newborn sessions are dictated by your little one; we move through the moments in a calm and relaxed way. We choose a time of day when you little one is most alert – discussed ahead of time – in your home as this is where you have spent most of your time together getting to know each other in the early days and weeks.

It varies depending on the type of session you choose, but storytelling newborn sessions average 50+ per hour and portrait sessions 10-20. All of your photographs will be made available to you via an online gallery delivered right to your email. Ready for download, your edited high resolution files are yours to keep and easy to share with family and friends.

Maternity sessions can take place either in the comfort and privacy of your own home – don’t worry about the mess, it’s the light I’m really looking for – or in a beautiful outdoor space in or around the Revelstoke area. This can be somewhere you hold dear, or a recommendation if you’d like one. So many to choose from. We can discuss this further in our pre-booking consultation phone call.

Maternity sessions are a time to let your body shine. To thank her for all that she’s done and is doing. An opportunity to give her some grace, and put your new shapes and curves on display to look back and appreciate in the future. You can wear nothing, or everything; bare it all, or free flowing garments that are comfortable, easy to move around in, and show that bump off beautifully.

Newborn sessions are a time to just be comfortable, wear what you and your body like best. You’re in the comfort of your own home and the love and connection is the primary focus, not your outfit.
