We watch as they grow and learn. To survive in this mad world on their own, bit by bit. It’s a tough but beautiful experience as a parent to be on the front lines of this evolution. But today I was quickly reminded of the beautiful peaks of perfection and pride within this experience. Those moments that propel us, full force, face to face with all the reasons why we put our all into parenthood. When we see our children become our teachings. Observe them display the beautiful things we love about ourselves, others, and the world around us.

I watched this little guy push himself physically and mentally today, push himself because he knew the pride he would feel within as a result. I watched him stop and be mindful of his surroundings, revelling in the awesomeness that nature supplies our souls. I watched him sit silently at the end to let it sink in.
